PETROL IGNITES.


Man Severely Burned.


     When petrol which he was pouring into a motor-truck outside the factory of Mr. H. Jones, leadlight manufacturer, in Sydney road, Brunswick, yesterday afternoon, ignited, James Irvine, aged 36 years, of Down street, Brunswick, was enveloped in flames. Mr. Jones ran to his assistance and extinguished the flames. Irvine was taken to the Melbourne Hospital in an ambulance, and admitted suffering from severe burns to the body.
